Every once in a while, we get to work on a project that carries an incredible story — not just of design, but of transition, timing, and the way life seems to rearrange things exactly how they’re meant to be.
Wisteria Lane is one of those stories.
This home was originally designed by Chelsee for a wonderful family who poured their hearts into every detail. Chelsee handled the full design of the bones — the structure, flow, and finishes — and then the homeowner, who had an incredible eye for décor, brought the interiors to life herself. You could really tell it was her passion project, and the result was absolutely stunning.
When they moved, we could not imagine the way the circumstances would line up so well for one of our longtime clients.
When our client — a repeat homeowner who had worked with us on several projects — learned that a Chelsee Sowder Interior Design and Eck Group Built home was available, she knew it was meant to be hers. What made it even more fascinating is that her personal style had always leaned very modern, while this home leaned more transitional, with soft finishes and natural warmth.
So we took on the next phase: furnishing the home.
Our goal was to thoughtfully bridge her modern aesthetic with the home’s more classic, organic feel. Every piece was chosen intentionally. The result is a home that feels cohesive, yet completely personalized to her family’s life and style.
The open-concept layout showcases soaring ceilings, expansive windows framing the countryside views, and a layout that invites you to gather. One of our favorite spaces is the office — a moody, dark space grounded in sophistication. The homeowner’s surprise when she realized her “art piece” on the wall was actually a cleverly disguised Frame TV was priceless!
Upstairs, her grown children have their own spaces to return to — designed with comfort and familiarity in mind, because this truly is the family’s forever home. They’ve since purchased the lot next door to build a home for her parents as they age and plan to add a pool to create even more space for connection and memories.
It’s rare to see a home carry such a beautiful second chapter — from one family’s dream starter home to another’s forever home. Getting to play a part in that story was an absolute honor, and a reminder that design doesn’t just create spaces — it connects lives.
