The original layout had character, but lacked flow and efficiency. Chelsee's approach honored the home's charm while elevating it into a warm, open, and highly functional space—perfect for a growing family.
Inspiration for this remodel was clean, open, true to the home and family friendly.
The kitchen underwent a major shift, even though structural limitations (like non-removable stairs) meant the footprint couldn't expand. The clients' biggest request? An island that allows for visibility of the backyard, where the kids often play. Chelsee answered that request with a sleek, narrow island—just wide enough to be fully functional. It includes a sink and dishwasher and offers the perfect vantage point for a multitasking parent to supervise playtime while prepping dinner.
The first order of business was removing outdated wallpaper and refreshing the dining room. Chelsee added classic wainscotting, instantly giving the space a timeless elegance. Paired with light wood flooring, the space now feels airy and fresh while still grounded in traditional design.
While upstairs, Chelsee also took the opportunity to renovate the primary bathroom, aligning it with the updated style of the rest of the home and enhancing everyday comfort.
This Oak Mont remodel wasn't just about aesthetics—it was about making the home work harder for the family who lives there. With natural tones, smart space planning, and timeless architectural details, Chelsee created a home that's both beautiful and deeply livable.
